Therefore, identification of effective factors in self-confidence can have a significant effect on students\' academic achievement and the progress of the educational system. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-esteem and academic motivation of students at Chaloos Azad University. Method: The research method was descriptive correlational. The statistical population of the study consisted of 10106 students of Chalous Azad University. 352 students were selected by stratified random sampling method. Data collection tools were two self-confidence questionnaires (1976) in 30 terms and Hartler\'s (1981) motivation for studying 33 items in terms of 5-degree Likert scale. Content validity of the questionnaires was confirmed by experts. Data analysis was done at descriptive level (frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation) and inferential (correlation coefficient, regression and t test) using SPSS version 20 software. Conclusion: According to the findings, there is a positive and significant relationship between self-esteem and academic motivation of students, and the more these skills increase in students, the more they increase their motivation. هدف: اعتماد به نفس به عنوان یک عامل انگیزشی، منجر به افزایش عملکرد تحصیلی و کاهش استرس می شود. بنابراین شناسایی عوامل مؤثر براعتماد به نفس می تواند تأثیر بسزایی در موفقیت تحصیلی دانشجویان و پیشرفت نظام آموزشی داشته باشد. لذا هدف تحقیق حاضر، تعیین رابطه بین اعتماد به نفس بر انگیزه تحصیلی دانشجویان دانشگاه آزاد چالوس بود. روش: نوع پژوهش توصیفی همبستگی بود. جامعه آماری پژوهش شامل دانشجویان دانشگاه آزاد چالوس به تعداد 10106 نفر بود که با استفاده از روش نمونه گیری تصادفی طبقه ای، 352 نفر بدست آمد. ابزار گردآوری اطلاعات، دو پرسشنامه اعتماد به نفس آیزنگ(1976) در قالب 30 گویه و انگیزه تحصیلی هارتر(1981) 33 گویه بر حسب طیف پنج درجه ای لیکرت بود. روایی محتوایی پرسشنامه ها توسط کارشناسان تایید شد. تحلیل داده ها در سطح توصیفی (فراوانی، درصد، میانگین و انحراف معیار) و استنباطی (ضریب همبستگی، رگرسیون و آزمون t) با استفاده از نرم افزار آماری spss نسخه 20 انجام گرفت. نتیجه گیری: طبق یافته ها بین اعتماد به نفس با انگیزه تحصیلی دانشجویان رابطه مثبت و معنادار وجود دارد و هر چه این مهارت ها در دانشجویان افزایش یابد به همان میزان برانگیزه آنان افزوده می شود. /downloadfilepdf/1276197
